1. What we collect
When you install ZS Smart Content, we collect and store:
- Shop information — your Shopify store domain, plan, and access tokens (required to push content)
- Product data — product names, descriptions, images, and metadata that you choose to process through the app
- Generated content — ZSI-generated text we produce on your request (stored for history/restore)
- Usage data — count of generations, plan tier, billing status
- Settings — your brand voice templates, default tones, audiences, languages
2. What we don't collect
We never access:
- Customer data (names, emails, addresses)
- Order history or financial transactions
- Payment information (Shopify handles all billing)
- Inventory levels
- Anything outside your products and collections
3. How we use your data
Product data you submit is sent to ZS Smart Content API (ZSI) to generate content.ZS Smart Content AI's data policy states they do not train models on API requests. Your data is:
- Used only for generating the content you request
- Not used for analytics, advertising, or training
- Not shared with any third party except ZS Smart Content AI (required for ZSI processing)
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on encrypted servers with industry-standard security:
- Database encryption at rest (AES-256)
- TLS 1.3 for all data transmission
- Access tokens encrypted separately
- Daily automated backups
- Regular security audits
5. GDPR compliance
We are fully GDPR compliant. You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request permanent deletion of your data
- Portability — export your data in JSON format
- Object — opt out of any processing

6. Data deletion
When you uninstall the app:
- Within 48 hours — all your shop data is permanently deleted from our database
- Backups are purged within 30 days
- ZS Smart Content AI logs (where your prompts were processed) are retained per OpenAI's policy (typically 30 days)
7. Cookies
The app uses only essential cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
8. Third-party services
We use these third parties to operate the app:

9. Children's privacy
Our service is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email and via an in-app banner. Continued use after changes means you accept the new policy.
